The Digital Enablement Officer supports the effective day-to-day operation of the Digital Enablement function. You’ll work closely with Digital Enablement colleagues, the wider Education and Innovation Directorate, and cross-functional teams to carry out core operational activities, update key datasets, support governance administration, and keep shared drives and documentation up to date, supporting Digital Enablement in operating efficiently. 

To be a member of the Digital Enablement Team within the broader Study Group Digital Learning directorate with responsibility for data management, digital learning and assessment platforms and digital tools administration, effective communications and training  

The post holder will report to the Head of Digital Enablement. The post holder will also build strong working relationships within the Digital Enablement and broader Study Group Digital Learning Directorate, central Study Group teams and external partners to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of Digital Enablement activity.

ABOUT THE ROLE
 1. Data and Project Management 
 
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date digital enablement datasets to support reporting, planning and decision‑making. 
- Update product pipeline trackers, dashboards and routine reporting inputs. 
- Identify and resolve basic data issues, escalating complex problems when required. 
- Support project coordination for digital tool pilots, optimisation activities, and quality assurance or enhancement processes. 
 
2. Digital Application and Platform Administration 
 
- Manage digital enablement calendars to ensure timely completion of operational tasks. 
- Respond to student and staff helpdesk queries, providing appropriate guidance or escalation. 
- Provide administrative support for product governance, including maintaining actions, records and documentation. 
- Organise and assist with invigilation of digital assessments. 
- Support fulfilment of Digital Enablement Service Level Agreement activities. 
- Review and update system records, datasets and documentation, ensuring consistency and auditability. 
- Maintain organised shared folders, platforms and documentation in line with agreed standards. 
- Support ongoing reporting cycles, routine system updates and data housekeeping. 
 
3. Communications and Training 
 
- Provide troubleshooting support and guidance for centrally managed digital learning platforms and applications. 
- Monitor and oversee digital enablement administrative work carried out by other staff when required. 
- Suggest improvements to templates, guidance and operational processes to enhance consistency and efficiency. 
 
4. General Responsibilities 
 
- Act as a key point of contact for digital enablement activities, managing enquiries professionally and fostering productive relationships. 
- Respond to day‑to‑day operational queries, escalating issues appropriately. 
- Carry out additional tasks as required by the Head of Digital Enablement, including support for wider Digital Learning projects. 

ABOUT YOU  
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience in administration, operations, business support or a related field. 
  • Confidence using digital workplace tools such as Excel, SharePoint, digital assessment platforms and collaboration platforms. 
  • Willingness to learn new systems and tools as required.
  • Experience of working in an educational setting  
  • Experience within an administrative role   
  • Experience in using data and reporting systems   
  • Experience of being flexible and working to specific deadlines   
  • Experience of improving administrative processes and process mapping   
  • Experience in being able to manage time well with the ability to prioritise work, forward think and plan 
  • Experience in communicating with and liaising with multiple different stakeholders
